Art Show
This week, we proudly celebrate the creativity and imagination of our students at the St Catherine’s Art Show.
The theme for this year’s exhibition centres around “Hope”, inspired by Pilgrims of Hope, a message shared by Pope Francis, who reminds us that hope is something we carry within us and are called to share with others. Our students have embraced this message wholeheartedly, exploring hope in many forms.
The exhibition features a vibrant collection of artworks created using a variety of mediums and techniques, including painting, collage, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking. Each piece reflects the students’ imagination, thoughtfulness, and growing confidence as young artists.
This year’s Art Show also invites our community to engage in four interactive activities designed to encourage participation, creativity, and fun for all ages. We are especially excited to introduce a new category titled “Creative Ties,” which showcases artworks created by students and their families outside of school. Creative Ties celebrates the many ways creativity continues beyond the classroom, highlighting the diverse talents and artistic passions within our St Catherine’s community.
Visitors are encouraged to pause, listen, and enjoy the hopeful and uplifting atmosphere created by our live musician, who will be performing throughout the evening in the Learning Hub and the foyer.
We hope you enjoy this special celebration of art, community, and faith - may the evening fill you with creativity, connection, and hope.
Melbourne Royal Show
As part of the 2025 Schools and Youth Art Competition at the Melbourne Royal Show, four of our students had the opportunity to share their creativity with a wider audience.
The selected pieces received excellent feedback, with some even earning a place in the competition - an achievement that filled our school community with pride. We are deeply proud of all our students for their creativity, courage, and care shine brightly in every brushstroke, sketch, and idea. What a joy it is to see their art come to life!
