First Eucharist- Year 4 students

First Eucharist Candidates

Congratulations to the following students who will celebrate their First Eucharist at the 10.30am Parish Mass on Sunday, 21st August.

Eucharist Reflection Day- Wednesday 27th July

Last Wednesday I worked with the all the Year 4 students to begin preparations to receive the Eucharist. The students took part in many activities during the day.

• Attended 10am Parish Mass
• Tasted the host (unconsecrated)
• Revised the 4 main parts of the mass
• Revised Mass responses
• Decorated their Sacramental Stoles and Eucharist Candle
• Worked on a poster to display in the school foyer and church

Eucharist Family Workshop- 6.30pm Wednesday 3rd August- ONLINE 

A Google Meet link will be sent to parents on Tuesday. A bag of resources was sent home with the students last week. Please have these ready for use during the Workshop.

Eucharist Parish presentation Mass- 10.30am Sunday, 7th August

All Eucharist candidates and their families are invited to Parish Mass this Sunday. The expectation is that all students attend with at least one parent. The students will be presented with their Eucharist candle and presented to the Parish Community.

First Eucharist Celebration- 10.30am Sunday, 21st August

We are all looking forward to this special day. At this stage there are no restrictions regarding the number of family members/friends that can attend. We will let you know if this changes before the 21st August.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word- CLOW

I have met with Donrita Reefman (Parish Coordinator) and Marta Nowak (Parent & Parishioner) to discuss setting up Children’s Liturgy at 10.30am Parish Mass. This will involve students coming out to the meeting room to hear readings and complete activities related to the readings that are more child friendly. The students will come out for the readings and return just before the Offertory procession. The activities will be designed for Primary aged students. 

We have decided to offer CLOW once a month (First Sunday of each month). The first session will be this Sunday, 7th August. Marta and I would love to see you there this Sunday. If you would like to help with the sessions, please let me know. I have included my email below.
